ものづくりで大切なことのひとつは、環境だと思っています。
私たちの工房は、古い木造の幼稚園跡にあります。
緑豊かな庭には樹齢50年を超える桜があり、街中にありながら喧騒から離れ、穏やかな気持ちになります。

工房には小さな椅子や机、手作りの木製玩具、花や果物があしらわれたステンドグラスの窓が残され、耳を澄ませば子どもたちの笑い声が聞こえてくる気がします。
わくわくする心を育む、園長先生や職員の方々の創意や工夫。
それは私たちの「ものづくりの原点」であり、作る喜びをいつも思い出させてくれます。

染め場に漂う煮出した草木の香り、風に揺れる色とりどりの木綿糸、桜の下に干された籾殻（もみがら）、ショップに並ぶ素朴で柔らかな色合いの手まり…。
街のオアシスのような工房で生まれる「讃岐かがり手まり」を、皆さんにも手にとっていただきたいと思っています。

We believe environment is an important aspect of craftsmanship.
Our workshop is housed in an old wooden building that used to be a nursery school.
Its luscious green garden has cherry trees more than 50 years old and although it lies in the city, it is a peaceful place set apart from the hustle and bustle.

The workshop still has tiny chairs and desks, handmade wooden toys, and stained-glass windows with flower and fruit motifs. It feels like if you stopped to listen, you could almost hear the children laughing.
The principal and personnel were very original and clever to inspire a spirit of excitement.
They become the starting point for our handiwork. They always remind us of the joy of creation.

The fragrance of boiled plants drifting about the dyeing area, the many-colored cotton threads waving in the wind, the rice husks drying under the cherry trees, the temari in simple, subdued colors lined in the shop...
We hope everyone can experience firsthand the Sanuki Kagari Temari born in a city oasis that is our workshop.
